I too was given a copy to read finding it emotional, moving & totally feeling for both the main characters. Having dealt with a more mind twisting X I could realate to Sarah, & loved that Jon was so caring & persistant. I found it very well written & know from life that there are too many women who do as Sarah did before she took action. The story was sad, emotional & had humour, thoroughly enjoyed & would have read in one go had I not been so tired from work. :) Well worth a read & thoroughly recommend to others & Danielle's fans. As advised it is different, don't expect it to be as her other stories. This relates to real life as we know it & did REALLY enjoy reading. Thanks again for the copy to read & review. :) Will be watching out for more!Product details

Brilliant fantastic enjoyable reading. A book worth reading. A real page turner in all respects.And the ending was........ Read the book yourself and find out.
I loved the story, wish there was more. But it didn't leave me hanging and that's what made it perfect.
This was a very well written story that tore at my heartstrings. The story centered around abuse but none was called out in great detail so that was a plus. I think I cried more than I didn't reading this one I wouldn't have survived it all if I were the heroine she should have castrated the evil SOB. I warn you that this isn't one of your sweet, upbeat type of love stories but it is worth the read with finally a HEA. I admired the heroine and her strength her loses were great but she prevailed. I fell in love with the hero who wouldn't quite no matter what. I know it had to be done but I don't like when people are manipulated and I believe that the hero did some major manipulating but got his just dues in the end to make me feel she got even. A great story I look forward to more and believe me I hate anything sad. Cudo's to you dear author for something different and the perfect title IMHO.
I loved the story line and the character's involved, it touches on the truth of so many people's lives. I was crying pretty much through out the entire book. Some were sad, some were happy. It's such a story so close to home it's scary . Great job.... I'm thinking you should write the story of how they finally got together. That would be great...
Sarah is in prison for killing her husband. She refuses to do anything to help herself get parole because she thinks she is the worst kind of monster. Her attorney Jon, never gives up on her and tries his hardest to get her to see that what she did was Justified. It is a very well written story that addresses domestic violence without being too graphic, but gives you enough to make you root for the heroine. I loved it!! I had to stop reading at one point to do some home related things, but had it not been for that, would have finished it it one sitting. It was gripping, heartbreaking, and frightening, but with a very satisfying ending. Love the author and recommend all of her work!! 5 Stars!!
This is a beautifully written story about a woman who has gone through so much but is still very strong. She has gone through so much and she just doesn't see herself as a good person. She is lucky enough to have someone there to remind her that she is not the sum of her actions and she deserves to continue living her life. The was a quick read but that doesn't deter from the story. I read this in about two hours. Sometimes when I read shorter stories I am left wanting more. More detail, emotions, feelings, just seems like something is missing. This was not the case here. This is a story that will stir your feelings but also have you satisfied with the outcome.
This story is a little confronting in parts. It's a sad story and one that many women face unfortunately. I found myself hoping for a happy ending for evryone
